BOSTON, MA (USA) — April 16th, 2013 — Aternity Inc., the industry’s leader in providing ubiquitous end user experience monitoring solutions, announced leadership additions to its sales and client services teams as high-demand from the surging trend of Virtual Desktop and Mobile adoption across global enterprises continues to fuel growth. The company named Rich Perry, a proven leader who pairs sales excellence with strategic thinking to repeatedly exceed revenue targets, as Vice President of Worldwide Sales. Edward Tobin, a hands-on, results-driven service professional with over two decades of experience, has been named Aternity’s new Vice President of Client Services.

“As enterprises continue to embrace Aternity’s unique approach in providing user-centric proactive IT management, hiring world-class leadership to lead and grow our sales organization and our client services teams, and support our growing global customer base and partner ecosystem was needed,” said Trevor Matz, president and CEO of Aternity. “Both Rich and Edward have exceptional track records and experience in delivering results in highly competitive markets – they bring exceptional talent with extensive business acumen to Aternity’s strong bench of leaders.”

Perry brings more than a 25-year record of executing ground-breaking growth at private and public software companies like TIBCO Software, Spotfire Inc., InterSystems Corp., and Sybase Inc. (later acquired by SAP AG) to Aternity. Before joining Aternity, Perry spent five years at TIBCO as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales for the Spotfire product group. During his TIBCO tenure, Perry was responsible for driving top line quarter-on-quarter growth that generated five-times more margin than its closest competitor in the Visualization-Based Data Discovery Tools market.

“It is a privilege to join Aternity at such an exciting time when End User Experience management is witnessing explosive, global growth,” said Rich Perry. “The Aternity team is passionate about the transformative capabilities of managing IT through the lens of the End User and with providing customers and partners with the only monitoring tool that addresses the APM visibility gap inherent in all other monitoring approaches. I look forward to helping the company further grow and scale its business.”

Tobin’s unique mix of leadership skills, customer passion, entrepreneurial fervor and strong process orientation have resulted in highly skilled and motivated services teams that exceed the needs of their customers.

Prior to joining Aternity, Tobin was the Vice President of Global Customer Operations at TIBCO Software’s Spotfire division for 10 years after which he launched and managed his own start-up. Before his work at TIBCO, Tobin worked at IBM Corporation, where he served as the principal consultant and project manager for companies like GM and Daimler-Chrysler. Earlier in his career Tobin has held a number of delivery leadership and program management roles at a division of Lockheed Martin.

“After my tenure at Spotfire I had been looking for the ‘next big thing’ – a company that combines compelling technology innovation with a winning team, and I found that with Aternity,” said Edward Tobin. “I look forward to expanding the service and delivery part of the business in order to help our customers and partners transform their businesses into user-centric, proactive IT enterprises.”
