Curtis Krause, CFA, is a Partner at Calibre One and co-leads the firm’s Asset Management Practice. A seasoned capital-raising executive with nearly two decades of frontline experience, Curtis brings a practitioner’s perspective to executive search, having built institutional sales, fundraising, and investor-relations functions across leading global investment firms.

Before joining Calibre One, Curtis founded Firsthand Talent Partners, an executive search boutique dedicated to fundraising and distribution roles for alternative investment managers. He previously served in senior distribution and business development roles at TechOperators Venture Capital, Muzinich & Co., Causeway Capital, AQR Capital Management, and Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he raised billions in institutional capital across hedge funds, private credit, public markets, and multi-asset strategies. Curtis began his career at the Corporate Executive Board (now Gartner), where he advised senior financial executives and helped build its research platform for CIOs.

Known for his rigorous diligence, operator insight, and deep network of institutional allocators and senior sales leaders, Curtis has advised and partnered with many of the industry’s most sophisticated investment organizations. His approach reflects a rare combination of technical fluency, commercial acumen, and strategic advisory capability – matching talent to the evolving needs of modern asset managers.

Curtis holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from Harvard Business School and a BA in Applied Mathematics-Economics from Brown University. He is a CFA charterholder and an Adjunct Professor of Sales at Fordham University. Curtis resides in Old Greenwich, Connecticut with his wife and two sons.
