John is an innovative and strategic Human Resources and Talent Acquisition leader with over 30 years’ experience recruiting and optimizing global leadership teams. John has advised clients for over a decade, from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies. He works with leaders to assess, structure, and build exemplary teams poised to achieve outstanding business results, with special emphasis on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Culture, and Employee Inspiration.
John designed and delivered Finance Academy for Hyatt Hotels, worked on talent optimization and strategic workforce planning for Owens Corning and Amway. As VP, HR Officer at Cigna, he developed a high potential leadership program that was recognized by The Boston Globe and Catalyst, an NGO focused on women in leadership, as a best-in-class leadership program for women. At The Gap, as VPHR, Global Supply Chain, he connected DE&I and business strategy to improve store performance. At Mattel, John combined three distinct business unit cultures and talent programs, with a combined savings of $385 Million, while improving talent pipelines and improving employee engagement by 30%. John held many leadership positions at PepsiCo, where he developed the first Voice Response Benefit Enrollment process in corporate America.
John received his BS in Economics with Honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his MBA from the University of Michigan.
John has also served on several non-profit boards such as the American Diabetes Association of South Florida, the Board of Trustees of Renbrook School in West Hartford, CT, and was Vice Chair of AYSO, Region 1258. He taught “Managing Strategy in Healthcare”, an MBA course at Northeastern University. John is an avid golfer, hiker, soccer coach, and wine collector. John is fluent in Spanish and lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Jenny.
