Panda Security appoints Petter Lautin as General Manager, UK & Sweden
Panda Security has appointed Petter Lautin as General Manager, UK & Sweden from the start of July 2009.
Prior to joining Panda, Petter was Vice President of Sales, EMEA & ROW, and Global Sales Operations at AVG. There he was responsible for sales and market/business development in all markets outside the UK and US, as well as for global sales operations.
Prior to AVG, Petter worked for Trend Micro, the world’s third largest Internet security vendor, where he was in charge of developing routes to market for the consumer segment in EMEA.
Petter’s first venture into information security was as MD of Symantec in the Nordics and prior to this he held senior regional management positions with Filemaker, Claris, and Ashton-Tate.
Panda's UK franchise has been acquired along with similar operations in Sweden and Finland under deals announced in June. The move is a continuation of a plan, begun two years ago, that has already seen existing Panda franchises or distribution businesses in Belgium, Holland, Germany, Austria, Japan and China brought in-house and integrated as subsidiaries in the Panda Group.
