Fidelity Growth Partners Europe has acquired £100m in their first fund concentrating exclusively on Europe.
Over the past decade Fidelity has invested around $150m in a variety of sectors including semi-conductors, software, telecommunications and internet oriented businesses. Investments to date include Curam, which produces Social Enterprise Management software and Seatwave, the online secondary ticket exchange.
The former US division of Fidelity has recently spun out to form an independent growth equity firm, Volition Capital. The firm will focus on high-potential, founder-led technology companies. Volition capital will continue to manage the portfolio of venture capital assets developed by the principals of Volition Capital while at Fidelity Ventures.
