James Brocket, Managing Partner, Calibre
One Europe
As Managing Partner, James Brocket is responsible for all of Calibre
One's business in Europe and leads both the Interim Management
and Executive Search practices across this region.
James was a co-Founder of Calibre One in 1999 and whilst
he leads Calibre One’s business across the region, he
remains a prolific recruiter. His major focus has been on
recruiting Chief Executive Officers, and other key board members
for businesses headquartered in Europe. He has also managed
a vast number of leadership assignments for US firms across
the EMEA region.
Over 15 years He has built a reputation as one of Europe’s
leading search professionals and has established an excellent
network of contacts within the Executive and investor communities
in Europe.
James holds a degree in Biological Sciences. Outside of work
he enjoys music, reading and all sports, especially rugby
and football - both of which he still plays, nowadays fuelled
more by enthusiasm than talent.

Mark Wilkes, Partner, London
Mark Wilkes has extensive experience in international executive search and, prior to entering search, a strong background gained in senior roles in the technology function, management consultancy and sales and marketing. Mark has previously worked for Accenture, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and Tandem Computers, specialising in trading systems technology. He has worked in top-tier search firms for the last fifteen years, including six years with Korn Ferry. He has lived and worked in London, Chicago, New York and San Francisco.
Mark has a B.A degree in Philosophy. Politics and Economics and an M.Phil in Economics, both obtained at Oriel College, Oxford University. He specialises in CIO, CTO and senior technology positions for clients in all industry sectors across all continents. Outside of work, Mark is a great sports enthusiast and has a strong interest in current affairs, architecture, dance and theatre.

Richard Brennan, Partner, London
Richard Brennan has over 10 years experience in executive search, seven of which were spent as a Director in the London office of a top tier search firm, where he consistently performed amongst the top 5% in the team. During this time he has developed an enviable track record of helping major technology and life sciences companies build their senior management teams in both the UK and Continental Europe, with a specific emphasis on finding European executives for North American organisations.
Richard’s major functional specialisation to date has been in general management, sales, human resources, customer support and operations. Prior to his career in Executive Search, Richard worked with Nortel Networks as a Senior Manager within the European resourcing team, managing a team of recruiters hiring talent all over Europe and initially began his career as a graduate trainee with Hays in the early 1990s.
Outside of work Richard is an avid sports fan with a strong interest in current affairs, although his weekends are now mostly taken up coping with his lively four year old son.

Philip Boyd, Partner, London
Philip Boyd has over 12 years experience in the search industry. Based in London, he conducts senior executive searches for clients in the areas of software, services, consulting and outsourcing.
Philip has conducted numerous international assignments for multi-national corporates, as well as smaller, high growth technology companies.
Having graduated with a degree in International Business, Philip began his career in the retail industry. Outside of work, he enjoys most sports and spending time with his family and friends.

Andrew Banks, Associate Partner, London
Andrew Banks focuses specifically on managing the execution and delivery of search assignments on an international basis across all sectors.
Prior to joining Calibre One, Andrew managed a Practice Area within a London-based boutique search organisation with responsibility for delivering on global search campaigns for Fortune 500 companies. In particular, he built a strong track record in identifying and placing senior leadership for clients seeking to execute strategic change, turnaround and improvement programmes throughout regional and country operations.
Andrew graduated from the University of Nottingham with a degree in Geography. Outside of work, he is passionate about all forms of music, current affairs and is an avid sports fan.

Nigel Wilson, Non-Executive Finance Director
Nigel is a chartered accountant having spent his early career at Grant Thornton. Qualifying in 1995 he subsequently spent 8 years in the media sector as Finance Director in a well established television distribution and production company before taking the same role in a new and fast growing company in the same sector.
Before joining Calibre One he established a financial consultancy advising a diverse range of start-up and young companies on their financial strategy and planning.
