REDWOOD CITY, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Carbon (www.carbon3d.com), a Silicon Valley-based digital manufacturing company, today announced the promotion of Elisa de Martel to Chief Financial Officer. She joined the company as Vice President of Finance, the senior-most financial role in the company, from a senior finance role at Apple Inc., after a successful search led by Ed Montoya, head of Calibre One’s Global CFO Practice.

Bio for Elisa de Martel

Elisa de Martel joined Carbon in February 2018 as Vice President of Finance, responsible for Carbon’s overall financial activities and global finance organization, including accounting and controllership, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), reporting, tax, treasury and investor relations. She brings extensive experience in managing global financial planning analytics and operations for manufacturing and technology companies.

Elisa was with Apple Inc. for 11 years, where she served in a variety of financial roles and most recently, was the Director of Manufacturing Finance. Prior to her tenure with Apple Inc., she was a finance manager with Citroen UK and a supervisor at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Elisa earned a Master’s degree in Political Economy from the University of Essex, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the EDHEC Business School.

Bio for Ed Montoya

Ed Montoya brings nearly two decades of experience advising CEO’s, Board Members, and private equity investors on their most important leadership and recruitment initiatives. Ed co-leads Calibre One’s Financial Officer Practice and has recruited over 100 senior finance leaders across the spectrum of public and private companies ranging from emerging growth to Fortune 100. He takes a pro-active and inclusive approach to executive recruitment and is proud to have helped clients increase the number of women and people of color in senior executive positions across high technology, healthcare and financial services. Prior to joining Calibre One Ed was a core leader of Spencer Stuart’s Financial Officer Practice in Silicon Valley/San Francisco. Ed developed his passion for the Financial Officer function early in his career as a technology and financial services investment banker at Morgan Stanley and M&A professional for publicly traded Affiliated Managers Group. Ed earned an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management and graduated from U.C. Berkeley with high distinction in Economics.
